Description
Continuing my horror movie fan art month because I am a huge wimp and must force myself to watch horror movies, today I watched the 1980 film, “The Fog”.
My co-worker, Dick Grunert (who gave me the list of his 13 must see horror films for my month’s horror sketch-off) had the following to say about the film: “‘Halloween’ is a classic, but I think this is my personal favorite Carpenter flick. That fuckin’ fog still freaks me out! Great cast, beautiful cinematography, and a final reel that will leave you breathless, right down to the last frame.”
Now, I know I say I’m a bit of a sissy when it comes to horror movies, but I have definitely seen my fair share of Carpenter flicks because of my childhood love for Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China. And even though I’ve seen Halloween and The Thing, I had missed out on The Fog, and it’s too bad, cause I loved it. In classic Carpenter fashion, it hooks you in the first few minutes and never lets go.
